Concerns About Government
If you ask Americans what they believe to be the top concern facing this nation, the answer may surprise you. Although our recovery continues to flounder and millions of Americans are without jobs, their top concern is not the economy - it is government!

According to a brand new Gallup poll, Americans believe dissatisfaction with government/Congress/politicians and poor leadership/corruption/abuse of power to be the most important problem facing our country. While 18 percent of Americans are, indeed, concerned about the economy, 21 percent of Americans label our own government as their top concern. What does this say about the utter failure of Washington? "The government" was cited as the top concern for Republicans, Independents and Democrats. This isn't a one-sided, partisan concern. It is pervasive amongst Americans of all political persuasions.

Unfortunately we have lots of options to choose from as to why this is the case: Obama and his administration's abuse of power, the myriad of scandals, the incompetence of ObamaCare's roll-out, the failure of Washington to listen to the people, the painfully slow economic recovery for Main Street.

We have a right to be concerned about big government because it is hurting our economy, trampling on our constitution and our rights, and pilfering the future for our children and grandchildren.

Show Your Support for Kari's Law
Just before Christmas, assoc. show producer Lauren received a call into Sean's 800-number from a man named Hank Hunt. His voice sounded heavy with heartache and somewhat discouraged as he began to tell me that he didn't know why he decided to even call the show. The next words out of his mouth, however, brought tightness to my chest and tears to my eyes: "My daughter was murdered two weeks ago," he said. And as if the story could get any worse, Hank informed me that his three grandchildren, aged 9, 4, and 3 were present when his daughter and mother of the children, Kari Rene Hunt Dunn was stabbed to death by her husband (whom she had been planning to divorce) in a hotel in Texas.

Kari's daughter could not dial 9-1-1 because she wasn't aware she had to dial "9" first, before being able to call emergency services. Now, Hank has made it his mission to ensure that anyone needing emergency help does not have to press "9" before dialing 9-1-1. He started a petition, which people can sign here.
