Things have changed dramatically since yesterday's press conference at 5pm. Most importantly we now know the identities of the two suspects, (white cap) Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, and (black cap) Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who turn out to be brothers. This is an on-going, evolving story but I’ve put a timeline on Hannity.com. My staff and I are committed to bringing the latest coverage on the events in Boston and all that’s being done to catch Dzhokhar Tsarnaev but more importantly, I plan to spend all the time required to make sure that we’re focused on making sure Washington is doing everything possible to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Gun Debate On my radio show today, eye witnesses joined the show to describe the confrontation with Tamerlan Tsarnaev as a “war zone.” There were roughly 80 police cruisers and numerous explosions and, in many cases, I thought I’ve heard gun fire. For all of you people who are in the gun debate now, if you were in Boston right now, I need to ask you, do you wish you had a gun to protect yourself now? Obviously, I would recommend everyone be very careful and to follow law enforcement instructions. I’d also offer the thought that we should all consider how important the right to protect yourself and your family is. You can watch some witnesses who’re describing the police activity on Fox News.com. |
On The Hunt Fox News contributor and my friend Griff Jenkins joined my program to give us some perspective of what the house-by-house manhunt was like as he was covering it. What he told me was amazing. Jenkins rushed to the scene after he learned an office had been shot on MIT’s campus and then followed police officers to the scene. Amazingly, he was able to position himself as close to the action as possible and explains the sounds of gunfire and explosions. If you haven’t read Griff Jenkin’s coverage, you should take a look at his video coverage here. The "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: How Long Before Liberals See Terrorism as Freedom of Speech? You know the day is going to come where the defense for the Boston type bombings are chalked up to freedom of speech by some ACLU lawyer. MSNBC has already dedicated more time in a tone of "how will the perpetrators be treated" then in outrage. >>TV Tonight (9pm ET on Fox News) Boston is on lockdown as authorities continue their search for the Boston Marathon bombing perspective. Sean has the latest. |
