House Defunds Arms Trade Treaty
The House
of Representatives passed next year’s defense appropriations bill – the
National Defense Authorization Act FY 2014 – with 315 yays
and 108 nays; at the same time they also agreed to defund the United
Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The amendment, sponsored by U.S.
Representative Mike
Kelly (R-Pa), passed unanimously and blocks all taxpayer dollars from
being used to fund the Global Arms Treaty in the next fiscal year.

Fake Fight
Imagine yourself on a Saturday afternoon. You worked hard all week.
This morning you got caught up on your household chores and your
errands, and
you sit down before the fireplace with a good book. Suddenly, you
notice two men fighting in your front yard. They are pushing and shoving
and
punching each other as they stumble up your driveway. Shouting and
cursing each other, they crash through your front door and continue the
mayhem
right into your living room. Read More |
We Should Reform Child Support
President
Obama’s Father’s Day speech included one provocative yet very
declarative sentence: “We should reform our child support laws to get
more men working and engaged with their children.” Obama didn’t
elaborate, but we can build on what he said because, yes indeed, child
support laws urgently need “reform.” Read More |
Sen. Paul: ‘Anybody want to fire some I.R.S. agents?’
It turns out that the government employee of the I.R.S. — who will not testify, who will not help out with the hearings
— it turns out she’s been doing this for decades. She was at the FEC telling Republican candidates that ‘you need to quit and
we’ll leave you alone. But you need to never run for office again.’ She’s been using this bully-nature of government and we’re
sick and tired of government bullies, and we need to send them home. Read More |
Sen. Cruz: Abolish IRS, place Agents on Southern Border
The I.R.S. has no business asking an American what books their reading. The I.R.S. has no business asking any American ‘What are
the content of your prayers?’ So what’s the best solution? We need to abolish the I.R.S. Read

Obama’s war on pro-life, pro-gun conservatives slowly exposed
While the still expanding Internal Revenue Service scandal has not yet
implicated anyone from
President Barack Obama’s White House, many conservative and Tea Party
spokespersons bombarded the Sunday morning news shows with allegations
that Obama’s comments and the tone of his comments have singled out
conservative groups for retribution from his minions in the IRS,
according
to conservative leaders, including John Snyder. Read More |
Marco Rubio’s
Iowa problem
Other than college football and superheroes, I’m
not an expert on a whole lot of stuff. But one thing I know a thing or
two about is the Iowa caucuses. For example, Fox News noted the role I
played
in Mike Huckabee’s surprise 2008 victory there. The Atlantic noted that I
correctly predicted the top 5 finishers in the 2011 Iowa Straw Poll in
order. And I wrote for the Washington Times that Tim Pawlenty was in
deep trouble in Iowa long before the national media was surprised he was
out of
the race before it ever really started. Read More |
