The immigration battle continues in the Senate today as there will be a procedural cloture vote to curb debate. Am I missing something here? Barack Obama and his administration is focused on climate change and the Congress is engulfed in a battle over immigration. Are these two issues that Americans even really care about? That's not to say that Congress only engages in debate on issues that Americans are focused on, but there are certainly more pressing issues at this time. Nonetheless, here we are debating the issue of immigration reform, so let's make sure that whatever is accomplished is done right. I maintain the need for border security first. What do Americans think? In a brand new Pew Research Center/USA Today survey, here's how Americans feel...( more) Chasing Rabbits: Climate Change I hope the Republicans in Washington are paying attention. Barack Obama is about to throw them a curveball, and they need not fumble it but rather stay focused on the issues that truly matter. Tomorrow Obama will delivery a speech on ... climate change! Yes, with all of the scandals swirling around his administration, Obama has decided to focus on an issue that Americans could care less about. That's not my interpretation, that's a fact based on recent polling from the Pew Research Center: Out of the 21 issues listed in the survey, climate change/global warming ranked dead last on its list of priorities for the president and Congress...( more) |
IRS Sent $46,378,040 in Refunds to 23,994 "Unauthorized" Aliens This story is so outrageous that it's almost hard to believe it's true. But sadly it is. CNSNews reported today that the IRS sent 23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040 to "unauthorized" alien workers who all used the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. That was not the only Atlanta address theoretically used by thousands of "unauthorized" alien workers receiving millions in federal tax refunds in 2011. In fact, according to an audit report published last year, four of the top ten addresses to which the IRS sent thousands of tax refunds to "unauthorized" aliens were in Atlanta. Just unbelievable! Our government has gotten too big and too bloated. How come the IRS can't focus on fixing a problem as monumental as this, rather than targeting political conservatives who apply for tax exempt status? Today's "Hot Topic" On The Hannity Forums: Will the Justice Department charge Bush-era whistleblower, Russ Tice, with espionage? - Bill.in.PA "Whistleblower" Russ Tice provided information back in 2004 that NSA was conducting warrant-less surveillance of the American people in violation of the US Constitution. He recently claimed that one of the targets included the then senate candidate Obama. >> TV Tonight (Hannity FoxNews at 9pm ET): Americans are still unclear about immigration reform. Sen. Ted Cruz joins Sean tonight to answer key questions. Plus Edward Snowden continues to embarrass the president to the international community. Ann Coulter sounds off. And did the Food Network make the right call to fire Paula Deen? |
