This week is the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding ObamaCare. Yet the law remains more unpopular than ever. A Fox News poll released this week found that a record number of Americans want Obama Care to be repealed entirely. The Fox News poll “finds that 58 percent of voters favor repealing all (39 percent) or some (19 percent).” That 39% who want full repeal is up 9% since March 2013. A few other important things to point out in this poll is that 62% of independent voters want at least some of Obama Care repealed. Overall, the number of Americans who are worried about Obama Care has risen to 66%, a 15% increase since July 2012. So what is the Obama administration's reaction or solution? A multi-million dollar sales pitch involving celebrity athletes and Hollywood elites! As Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard says, it's “ lipstick on the Obama Care pig.” The Obama administration is actively trying to recruit Obama Care salesmen from the NBA, NFL and Hollywood in order to carry water for the administration. Meanwhile, at least when it comes to Hollywood, the very same people who supported Obama Care and are now being recruited to promote it, are complaining about how difficult it will be to implement! Celebrating Obama Care “Independence?” As worries over Obama Care continue to mount, there is one politician who feels everything is going swimmingly and we should be celebrating. That person is none other than the apparently delusional Nancy Pelosi. This week Pelosi praised Health and Human Services for their work on Obama Care: “The implementation of this is fabulous.” Really? Are we living in the same country, talking to the same businesses or reading the same news reports? I've pointed out how members of her own party and the Obama administration admit that Obama Care implementation is going to be horrendous. That's just the implementation. What about the law itself once it's fully in place? Is Obama Care really going to improve the quality of our health care and lower costs, as Democrats like Pelosi and Obama promised? Absolutely not! Yet Pelosi says that we have reason to celebrate it, and she even compared it to the Fourth of July. I just can't understand for the life of me how b ig government can somehow be promoted as something that provides us with more freedom. Big government does entirely the opposite: It relies on our growing dependence, it becomes more burdensome and intrusive, and it provides false choices between security and freedom. If you want to be astonished, read a transcript of Pelosi's Obama Care remarks. |
Dismiss This Case There was breaking news today in the Zimmerman case and this corroborates a feeling I’ve had that charges should never have been raised. I’ve been watching this trial intently and the prosecution today brought on an eye witness for testimony. Remember what I’ve been saying for a long time, that George Zimmerman’s arrest was politically motivated, and if we’re going to rule based on the law, this case has been decided. There was one eye-witness today who described, in detail, how Zimmerman had been tackled to the ground in an “MMA style” tackle. You can argue, fairly, that George Zimmerman should’ve stayed in his car but I understand that George Zimmerman was part of a community watch group. I understand both sides of this situation and I think a lot of people have just rushed to judgement. With today’s eye-witness testimony this case comes down a question about whether you have the right to defend yourself. It’s unclear to me why the judge in this case doesn’t just throw this case out. Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: Here Is Undeniable Evidence That Climate Change Exists - Posted by Sigma The following webpages contain satellite images and videos showing that the ice in the Arctic among other places is indeed melting at a relatively fast pace which would result in slightly higher ocean levels. With such undeniable evidence, how can people still claim that climate change doesn't exist? Is anyone here going to actually argue against images and videos captured by satellites? >>TV Tonight (Fox News 9pm ET) More explosive testimony rocked the Trayvon Martin case today. Sean has the latest reaction. |
