This season will be Dierdorf's last on CBS

Dan Dierdorf’s 43rd season in the NFL will be his last. The CBS announcer, who followed up a 13-year playing career with 30 years as a broadcaster, will retire following the 2013-14 NFL season.

Major League Baseball’s lawyers told U.S. District Court Judge Edgardo Ramos during a hearing in Manhattan federal court last week that Rodriguez or someone working on his behalf provided documents to Sitrick & Co.

Seton Hall soph must return to Israel

The San Francisco Giants have finalized a $23 million, two-year contract with free-agent pitcher Tim Hudson, who began his career with Oakland. Hudson had a physical Monday, and the team announced the agreement Tuesday.

Michigan State takes over AP top spot from Kentucky

Michigan State made the one-step move to No. 1 by beating Kentucky in the 1 vs. 2 matchup last week. It’s the third time the Spartans have been atop the poll. They have to hope they can make a run as No. 1 that lasts longer than the other two, which were both for two weeks.
