ObamaCare Trickery
To Democrats and the Obama administration, ObamaCare's troubles are not
the law itself or the incompetent rollout. The problem is the sales
pitch. This is why they will go to great lengths to shape the narrative
and spin it to their favor.
The latest gimmickry has to do with Census Bureau data. To measure the
true success of ObamaCare - that Americans who previously did not have
health insurance obtain coverage - we've been waiting for data from the
Census Bureau. The problem is that the Obama administration decided to
suddenly change the questioning of the survey as it relates to
healthcare. Why is this important? Because by drastically changing the
questions, you essentially have no prior consistent data with which to
compare the answers. In other words, we will have no real measure of
ObamaCare's success because we will not have accurate figures for the
"before" and "after."
Here's how it was reported by The New York Times:
"An internal Census Bureau document said that the new questionnaire
included a 'total revision
to health insurance questions' and, in a test last year, produced lower
estimates of the uninsured. Thus, officials said, it will be difficult
to say how much of any change is attributable to the Affordable Care Act
and how much to the use of a new survey instrument."
Who requested this change in the survey? You guessed it... |

Outrageous: Chris Matthews
We have yet another soundbite to add to the growing montage of Chris
Matthews obsessing about race. He can see racism in just about any
issue, argument or person who does not comport with his own world-view.
During his show on the left-wing network of NBC News, Matthews bemoaned
that America is "swimming in racism." Here's a partial transcript of
his rant:
"[Racism's] all around us! And we
don't even-- we're swimming in it, to some extent. And we don't know
how to define it or limit it or push
away from it. We all agree we've got to push away from it ... John
Boehner has refused to challenge the nut balls in his party who believe
in
birtherism, that's not even racism. That's racism plus stupidity."
His remarks come on the heels of a string of recent comments from the
Left on the issue of race. Just yesterday I told you about...(continued)
