Mixed Polling For The White House
Fox News revealed
brand new polling this week related to Obama's performance as president
and a host of other issues including the terrorist attacks in Benghazi.
Here are some of the highlights.
According to the Fox News poll, Barack Obama's
approval rating is still in the negative: 44% approve of his
performance as president, compared to 49% who disapprove. But those
numbers are slightly better than before.
What's odd is that if you look at the numbers, the reasons why people
approve or disapprove of Obama are almost identical: the economy and
healthcare are the two main examples. It's amazing that the American
people can live in the same country and come away with two diametrically
opposed views on these issues. The most popular and unpopular reason
people either approve or disapprove of Obama is healthcare.
But perhaps the biggest driver of Obama's improvement is...(continued)
VA Hospital Scandal
It's been weeks now since the shocking scandal was revealed that the VA
hospital in Phoenix had an alleged secret list for veterans, leaving as
many as 40 to die while waiting for care. Things continue to escalate in
the wake of these revelations and the problems may be far more
pervasive.
Internal memos
within the VA have revealed that staffers within the agency have
actively worked to "game the system" for at least six years. A memo from
2010 from the VA's deputy undersecretary for health administrative
operations, William Schoenhard, reveals that...(continued)

Sequester Impact Revealed
More emails have been revealed related to the IRS targeting of Tea
Party conservatives.
The emails confirm that Lois Lerner absolutely lied when she said the
targeting of Tea Party groups was orchestrated by low-level employees in
Cincinnati.
In fact, the targeting was led by the IRS headquarters in Washington
D.C., which was pressured to act by Democratic Senator Carl Levin.
The emails also reveal Lerner's criteria for targeting groups, which
included specific names like "Tea Party" or "9/12 Project."
But it also included groups dedicated to issues of government spending,
taxes and debt, groups educating the public and advocating for a better
America, and groups critical of how the country is being run.
It's no wonder Lois Lerner has been held in contempt. She has a lot of explaining to do.

Tonight Reince Priebus weighs in on the 2014 midterm elections along
with reaction from Tea Party favorite Ben Sasse. Plus a fiery panel on
Sharia law. And why a Dallas talk show host stormed off set over the Sam
Michael kiss. |
