Return of the Race Card
Amidst crisis and failings, both domestic and abroad, the Obama administration managed to bring the focus back to race.

Attorney General Eric Holder told ABC over the weekend that a certain level of opposition directed at him and Barack Obama is fueled by "racial animus." Transparent?
Over the weekend, new White House press secretary Josh Earnest made the outrageous claim that the Obama administration is "absolutely" the most transparent in history.

His assertion looks ridiculous compared to the letter sent just last week to the White House from thirty-eight national press groups and transparency organizations criticizing the administration's "politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies."

Throughout the years, we've seen the lengths this administration will go to in order to control the narrative.

This includes tracking phones and emails of reporters, remember that?

It also includes cracking down on leakers more aggressively than any administration in history.

Even the San Francisco Chronicle in 2011 described this administration as being almost Nixonian in its level of control, paranoia and lack of credibility.
