Immigration Reform Now, Please
Congressman Michael McCaul of Texas made some waves with the Obama Administration when he made the public statement that "our military bases are turning into refugee camps." According to latest estimates nearly 52,000 unaccompanied children have been detained at the border since October and this is clearly becoming an epidemic that needs to be addressed! I've said this before but it's obvious that we have a serious immigration problem in this country. We have over 11 million people here illegally, and our public hospitals, government aid and assistance programs are overwhelmed. The National Research Council estimates that taxpayers pay out nearly $346 billion annually.

There's only one answer to our immigration problem. Secure our borders! Every nation has some sort of immigration policy so why should the US be any different? We need to secure the border and then we can discuss clear and safe policies that will give a rightful passage into the United States for those seeking the potential that America can deliver.

At no time during the presidencies of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton or George W. Bush, did such a small percentage of the civilian non-institutional population either hold a job or at least actively seek one...(continue reading)
