Melissa Martinez, 40, of Houston, Texas, is charged with two counts of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance and one count of purchasing/furnishing alcohol to a minor. Her son, Eddie M. Herrera, 18, was previously arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He is accused fof the death of his girlfriend, Jacqueline Gomez, 17. Hydrocodone and alcohol were found in Gomez's system. Melissa Martinez, 40, allegedly helped the couple get alcohol and drugs on the night of the fatal date, the Houston Chronicle reported.

16-year-old student brought LOADED GUN to Manhattan high school, showed it off to another classmate, police say

School Safety Agent Michele Pitre observed a 16 year male student take the hand of a female student and place it on his waistband. The agent then observed the female student pull her hand away quickly. SSA Pitre along with her partner, SSA Winston Bruno along with their supervisor School Safety Agent III Troy Wilson located the male student and escorted the suspect to a secure area of the school. The male student was then found to be in possession of a loaded .32 caliber revolver (pictured) in his waist band. On March 20, 2015 detectives from the LVMPD Criminal Apprehension Team (CATS) arrested a second suspect in connection with the February 12, 2015 shooting death of Tammy Meyers. LVMPD Homicide detectives identified 26 year -old Derrick Andrews of Las Vegas, NV as the outstanding driver in this case. Derrick Andrews, 26, was taken into custody about an hour after a Clark County grand jury indicted him on charges of murder, attempted murder and the discharge of a firearm from a structure or vehicle.
