THE SEAN HANNITY SHOW

Obama Under Fire
President Obama continues to find himself under intense pressure from Congressional leaders as he continues his efforts to garner support for a deal with Iran over nuclear weapons. Though he spent the weekend trying to convince congressional leaders that this was a, "once in a lifetime experience," it's becoming increasingly clear that members from both sides of the aisle aren't quite sure.

I have been trying to use every outlet I can to remind the American people that this negotiation with Iran is equal parts foolish and un-American. While there is certainly the power of Executive Agreement, our founding father's could never have thought of something this important not falling to Congress for approval.

Republicans in Congress need to be forceful and loud here, they need to drive home the point that the American people need a voice when being asked to forfeit their future security.

When Should Congress Be Involved?
Washington is ablaze with debate on just what role the Senate should play in negotiations with Iran. The University of Michigan did a study that found from 1839 to 1889, 52.9% of all international agreements were Executive Agreement. That has risen to nearly 94.3%.

What does all of this say about Washington? Granted, the world is an ever-evolving complicated mess of international relationships but there is a reason why we have a Constitution and there's a reason why we need to involve as many smart minds as possible. I haven't always defended Congress but, in this case, they need a say in what's going on.
