Rand Paul: Rubio Should Resign Or Give His Pay Back Kentucky Senator and 2016 presidential candidate Rand Paul has been busy on the campaign trail and in the United States Senate. Most recently he's been pushing for immigration restrictions in the wake of the Paris and San Bernardino terrorist attacks. On the campaign trail, Paul has been slamming his Republican rival and colleague Marco Rubio for missing several key votes in the senate. WATCH: Senator Rand Paul's interview on 'Hannity'

Specifically, Paul is critical of Rubio's failure to vote on the recent $1.1 billion spending bill which the Kentucky Senator called "horrendous".

"I think if you are being paid by the taxpayer you should show up and vote," Paul said to Hannity guest-host Mark Steyn. "I think this is a big issue. For him to say he's only going to show up when he thinks it's a close vote, I don't think that passes muster."

I think really he aught to just resign or probably give his pay back because he's not really earning his pay at this point," Paul added.
