Teen boy nabbed in attempted rape of Bronx 13-year-old girl

SENDER: DCPI SUBJECT: 42 Pct. Attempted Rape (2002-16) The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an attempted rape that occurred within the confines of the 42 Precinct. Details are as follows: It was reported to police that on July 14, 2016, at approximately 1300 hours, inside of a residential building in the vicinity of Jennings Street and Intervale Avenue, the suspect followed the 13 year-old female victim into her building's elevator and coerced her into letting him inside her apartment. Once inside, the suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. When the victim told him that she didn't have any he placed some property inside her book bag. He then forced the victim to perform oral sex on him and tried to rape her. Afterward he fled the building with the victim's book bag eastbound on Jennings Street. The individual is described as a male black, 18 years old, 5'8", 145 to 150 lbs; last seen wearing black pants, black slippers, white socks, a light colored book bag and he carried either a red t-shirt or towel over his shoulder. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential. Cops on Sunday arrested a teenage boy who attempted to rape a 13-year-old girl in the Bronx.
