WATCH: Trump Shuts Down CNN Reporter's 'Rude' Question About Hotel Opening On Wednesday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump took a short break from the campaign trail to celebrate the opening of his latest property, the Trump International Hotel, Washington D.C. that occupies the old post office space on Pennsylvania Avenue-just blocks from the White House. During his remarks at the ribbon cutting ceremony , Trump celebrated the fact that the project had come in "under budget [and] ahead of schedule."

Immediately following the event, Trump made his way North Carolina to deliver a speech in the swing state, but that didn't stop the media from questioning his priorities. CNN's Dana Bash, for example, pulled Trump aside to ask him what he would say to those who wondered why he was "taking time out of swing states to go do this."

WATCH: 52 Years Ago Today Reagan Delivers His 'Time For Choosing' Speech On October 27, 1964, Ronald Reagan delivered his now famous "Time for Choosing" speech. Given in support of Republican Presidential Candidate Barry Goldwater, the speech catapulted Reagan into the national political spotlight and represented a seminal moment for the nascent conservative moment.

The speech, which clocked in at just under a half an hour, brilliantly laid out the case not just for Senator Goldwater, but for conservatism principles in general.

"This is the issue of this election," Reagan proclaimed. "Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves."

While Goldwater would go on to defeat in the presidential election, Reagan's "Time for Choosing" endures, still as relevant today as the day it was delivered.
