ObamaCare Ponzi Scheme
Liberals have had a hard time understanding why conservatives are so upset about ObamaCare. ObamaCare is representative of a liberal ideology that I do not see as being good for our country.  This is because ObamaCare creates more dependency on government and less incentive to work.  Don't believe me?  Ask the head of the CBO who told Congress, “[ObamaCare] creates a disincentive for people to work.” It is a Ponzi Scheme in the sense that it shifts the burden onto those who are still willing to work, yet creates massive incentives for people not to work.  It creates another barrier to entry for the labor market because ObamaCare artificially shrinks the margin of gain.  This means that someone who would consider entering the workforce for a low-paying job, or progressing up the job ladder, now has less incentive to do so because the gain is marginal, at best.  They will choose to stay at home and you can't blame them, you have to blame the government that is enabling this behavior.  Or take, for example, someone who is already earning a living but is set to get a raise.  Sounds like a good thing, right?  Not in the age of ObamaCare.  The Weekly Standard explains that there is an ObamaCare subsidy cliff, where earning just $1 more in wages ends up costing you $20,000 more for health insurance.

The White House In Full Spin Cycle
If you listen to the spin from the White House, from liberals and even from the media, this disincentive to work is a good thing?  I cannot, for the life of me, understand how they can rationally believe that to be true.  Celebrating a shrinking labor force along with the growth of government dependency is the opposite direction I want for America.  If liberals are sincere in believing this, then it is heartbreaking to watch the American Dream fade before our very eyes. There is something fundamentally dignifying about earning a paycheck and being self-reliant.  Having a job isn't something that “traps” someone;  it is an opportunity to earn money, which provides you more options in life, not less.  An “opportunity society” is not one in which you choose work over government dependency, it is one in which you choose which line of work to pursue.

What Are We Doing?!
Did you know the CBO estimates that 31 million non-elderly Americans will still be without health insurance in 2024? Then there's the inevitable bailout of the insurance companies.  Government regulators are already trying to force insurance companies to offer more choices for doctors and hospitals. One insurance company, Humana, estimates that it will use ObamaCare's "risk adjustment tool" (read: bailout) to get as much as $450 million in 2014.  Forbes explains that this money is needed to offset company losesses as a result of slower enrollment. So people will still be without insurance, fewer people will be working, economic growth will slow, the cost of healthcare isn't decreasing ... at some point we have to ask ourselves: What are we doing?

Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums:
Can I Get A Tax Subsidy? - Posted by Ryooper2I'm curious if there's a tax subsidy for those who owe money?  If ObamaCare can provide free health insurance to everyone, spend trillions on bridges to nowhere and generally just give away money to everyone who'll vote for him, I'm curious if someone could pick up my tax bill?  I promise I'll vote for the dems next election if that's what it takes. Seems that's how policy is decided these days anyway.
