ALERT

Dear Grady L,

Last week, Republicans from all over the country gathered in Tampa for our convention. What they, and everyone watching at home, heard was a phenomenal group of Republican leaders offering a strong, optimistic, reform-minded agenda for the United States. The highlight of the week for me was watching my fellow governors deliver addresses to the RNC, capped off by a tremendous acceptance speech by another, former, governor, Mitt Romney, the next President of the United States.

Republican governors spoke of how results-oriented, conservative leadership is providing GOP-led states with jobs, growth and opportunity. It’s no surprise that 7 of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rate have GOP governors and 12 of the 15 best states for business are led by Republican governors.

This week, it is the Democrats’ turn to explain their vision for where they want to take this country. The Democratic speakers will undoubtedly deliver powerful speeches that aim to inspire, but no amount of uplifting rhetoric will be able to cover up their records – and it’s the results that matter. The truth is states with Democratic governors have an unemployment rate a full point higher than GOP-led states, and while Republican governors are cutting taxes and seeing their states’ credit ratings upgraded, Democratic governors have seen the opposite occur in their states.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? It is the same "leadership" that President Obama is offering.

The conservative comeback is being led from the states, and the RGA needs your support to continue our momentum. We have 11 governors races this fall and have the opportunity to expand our already strong majority of 29 Republican governors. But we need your support.

Big Labor has pledged to spend at least half a billion dollars on campaigns this year, and their top priority is defeating GOP candidates for governor. The Democrats may have the Big Labor bosses in their corner, but we have something more powerful: you.

Can you help elect more Republican governors – and transform the nation – by contributing $5, $10, $50, $100 or $250 today? Every dollar you give will help us pay for TV ads that support our candidates and hold the Democrats accountable. Support us today and help bring conservative change in 2012.

Sincerely,
