AUTHOR JACK R KNIGHT (MONEY BEHIND OBAMAS GAY RIGHTS )

America and the world have known for years Obama's position on same-sex marriage; consequently he didn't sink nor damage the ship of state, but why the administration would push this issue now - money, lots of money.
It was a no brainer, the homosexual community, same as the president of Russia, knew they would be pacified as soon as Obama became "more flexible."
Within 24 hours after Obama's announcement, the Learjet liberals, George Clooney, Barbra Streisand and other Rolls Royce leftists raised more than $12 million for the Obama campaign.
The announcement wasn't for the gay vote, since the Democrat Party has forever kept these folks vote in Gore's lock box. Money equates to more votes for Obama. Therefore these high-dollar, tinsel-town, limo-chauffeured events will continue regardless of Obama's position on this issue.
The same-sex marriage issue is an effective diversion tactic used by Obama's re-election campaign to obscure his dismal record of the past four years.
Neither did Obama improve his position by throwing the poor, hardworking, churchgoing blacks of America under the freedom bus just to appease the lug nuts of North Hollywood.
The administration and the press would have you believe same-sex marriage is a vanguard issue. These people are salivating over the valor of the president for making this a focal issue, and the press, they continue to quote polls from "viable sources" claiming Americans, in the majority, favor same-sex marriage.
This just is not true. Marriage is defined as the union of one man and one woman in 42 states in America. Thirty-three states have amended their constitutions banning same-sex unions.
Folks, the middle class is suffering - suffering from no jobs and low wages; skyrocketing groceries, $4 gasoline and steep utility bills. The issue is the ECONOMY not same-sex marriage,
The declining middle class can no longer support itself, much less pay the IOUs of Main Street poverty and Wall Street gluttony.
The trillions of dollars of debt placed on these folks have become unbearable and can no longer be sustained. Now who is going to pay these bills?

Heart disease: Mass killer of women

Written by

A year or so ago, I wrote a column describing and discussing my personal encounters with heart attacks.
I received several responses from the article, but the most unique response came from a 37-year-old man from Petal.
The person had been having chest pains but never associated it as a possible prelude to a heart attack ending in instant death or death within a few hours, if immediate medical attention was not received. Of course, he did receive hospital treatment thereby avoiding the heart attack.
A couple of decades ago heart attacks were associated almost completely with old men and a few young men.
Heart disease in the female population is not a myth. On the contrary, it is the mass assassin of women. Yet more than 60 percent of those women surveyed stated cancer was the No. 1 cause of death in females.
Only 31 percent knew what the culprit really was. It is a truth; cardiovascular disease kills more women than all types of cancer combined. In fact, deaths of women due to heart disease are twice the rate of all cancers.
The disease is unbiased and gender free. It is a mass killer. In America we have 1.5 million heart attacks each year with 500,000 deaths annually. More than 230,000 of these deaths are women.
To put these numbers in focus; the Civil War, applying the art and science of war, could only slaughter 550,000 of our youth, over a four-year period.
According to Women's Heart Foundation, a heart attack occurs every 20 seconds with a heart attack death happening every 60 seconds. Furthermore sudden deaths are more common in women than men.
The national Registry of Myocardial Infarctions reported July 22, 2009, women have a much worse outcome than men after suffering heart attacks, and women under the age of 50 had twice the death rate of men after having a heart attack.
Almost 14 million of us Americans have a history of heart attack or angina, and these numbers seem to increase almost without bounds.
Furthermore data shows 50 percent of those folks who have a heart attack will die if not treated within an hour after the seizure; however these mortality rates decrease dramatically for those who survive long enough to receive immediate hospital treatment.
It has been almost 45 years since elephants danced on my chest and I'm absolutely positive I would have died if it hadn't been for hospital treatment within the first 15 minutes.
The state-of-the art of treating blood clots in the coronary arteries has changed drastically since 1967, but the basic truth which saves lives still stands; get immediate in-hospital treatment.
And by the way if your hospital trip turns out to be a dud; thank God because it's the best misfire you will ever have.

Solyndra, Obama's poster child

President Obama's poster child for clean energy, Solyndra, has now bellied up in the tainted political waters of the Potomac; another squandering spree of almost $600 million by Obama, the people's tax money.
This is criminal cronyism at its best and should be treated as such.
Emails, released by the House Energy and Commerce Committee in August and September 2009, document White House officials applying pressure on the Office of Management and Budget to provide a timeline for finalizing the loan.
The administration claimed the request was only for Vice President Biden to attend the groundbreaking ceremonies of Solyndra. He was Obama's good Samaritan, the giver of the green; $0.5 billion of green, all for green jobs.
Emails obtained by The Associated Press show the White House staff members downplayed the fact that Solyndra could possibly have a meltdown. An email to a Solyndra executive from Greg Nelson, a White House planner for Obama's May 2010 visit to Solyndra downplayed a July 2010 news story in a trade magazine that severely criticized Solyndra's poor financial health.
Just prior to the Solyndra groundbreaking ceremonies, the OMB, through emails, warned the administration more time was needed to provide due diligence reviews, and Solyndra had no performance data in energy panels. OMB told the administration they should "notch down" the deal but they chose to ignore the facts.
To compound Obama's Solyndra problem, energy panel prices were falling dramatically throughout the world.
Did Obama know Solyndra was a charade? On his visit to the factory in 2010 he called the deal a beacon of innovation while company had already imploded. It was in complete disarray; soon after his visit the company canceled an IPO and fired its management team.
Can Obama be held accountable for this fiscal fiasco? In all probability, no one in his administration will suffer any consequences.
The history of punishment of politicians for corruption in America is, for all practical purposes, nonexistent; but you know what's nice about being an American citizen, we can vote. That is the only poll that counts.

A MOTHERS LOVE

A MOTHERS LOVE

Jack Knight
Folks let not your hearts be troubled. You may be in the pits of despair or soaring with eagles, it makes no difference because God, Old Bo and your mother will always love you.
A mother's love is akin to God's; It's infinite, unconditional and always there. She will feed you when you're hungry, visit you when you are sick and go your bail from jail, even when you are guilty as sin.
Miss Tressie, our mamma, was our source of unconditional love. She saw us through the good times and the bad times. It was the times that tried our pangs of hunger, a time of the Great Depression.
Miss Tressie loved the small joys of living and accepted, with dignity, it's inevitable sorrows that came with life; and she always kept her faith in God. She was the most compassionate person I ever knew.
It didn't take much to please my mamma. She was happy when most folks couldn't see anything to smile about.
Miss Tressie's life was her children and she believed in education. Maybe it was because she came from meager means and only finished eighth grade. Anyway she went through many hardships to make sure all her children finished high school.
My mamma plowed the mule and worked the fields so her children would not have to miss school, and she was overjoyed when two of them graduated college with degrees in engineering and mathematics.
Mamma's kitchen was equipped with an old wood burning stove, and running water came from the deep-water well down by the road.
Her washing machine was a clutter of leaky tubs, an old washboard and a big black wash pot. And of course we children studied by a kerosene lamp. Somehow she always found time to starch and iron our two complete outfits for each child which we swapped out at mid-week. These clothes were all we had and they were worn only during school and church hours. A pair of overalls was our work attire of the day.
Mamma was always the last to eat dinner and when we had chicken she only loved the wing, not two wings; one. We children were grown before we figured this one out
She never bought clothes for herself. When she did, it was a few yards of gingham which Miss Troy, her sister, sewed into a dress.
My mother and Miss Troy wore the same winter coat for several years. That must have been true because I never saw two of the coats at the same time. But as I said, we were slow when it came to understanding hard times.
At the age of 85 my mother was still collecting beer cans along the roadside, mowing her yard and caring for my invalid dad. At 91 Miss Tressie, sadly but with resolve entered the nursing home and became a model patient who inspired others.
Now, as I reflect upon my memories of Miss Tressie I realize we loved her very much but often took her for granted.
We felt safe and secure and possibly smug in knowing she would always be there for us. Mamma died, one afternoon, still in good spirits to the end. She was 93.
Do you still have your mother? Call or visit her now because she's the only person in this world whose love for you is infinite and unconditional.
Well, maybe old Bo's is too, if he's still around.

America doing a left turn

America doing a left turn
By Jack Knight
Never in the annals of human history have so few done so much in dismantling the greatest republic of all time
Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and other leftists for political change have nationalized large parts of America’s financial and automotive institutions and are working feverishly to do the same with the health care system, which is one sixth of the GNP.
These politicians have given a trillion dollar bailout to dysfunctional corporations and another 700 billion to create jobs, while unemployment continues to balloon, from 8 percent to more than 10 percent. The apparent solution is to print, bale and blow another 700 billion at the quandary.
Many of those responsible for these cataclysmic events are Ivy League educated and are members of the privileged, with some exceptional minorities. They know nothing about main street America. They simply don’t understand the concept of earning one’s keep.
Ninety-two percent of those serving in the current administration have never held a private sector, job. Therefore, it would be difficult for these folks to understand the day-to-day challenges of the working middle class.
These opportunists obtain their law degrees from the leftist Ivy schools and immediately join the feeding frenzies of the self interest groups of Washington and Wall Street.
Dishonesty, corruption and contempt are the orders of the day in national politics. Several of the Obama nominees did not know they owed IRS back taxes. Mind dysfunction at these high levels of government is outrageous but yet a common occurrence.
Timothy Geithner, Obama’s Secretary of Treasury, claims he didn’t pay his delinquent taxes because he didn’t understand Turbo Tax. Ironically Mr. Geithner is in charge of the IRS.
Other nominees have tax problems. The biggest offender is Tom Daschle of South Dakota.  Daschle and his wife Linda have become multi-millionaires by connecting themselves with the sordid   underbelly of Beltway politics.
Apparently Rahm Emanuel, a ballet dancer, and Whitehouse Advisor to Obama paid the taxes on 16 million dollars he amassed within two short years. Some dance, some tutu.
Is the nationalization of America a good idea? Amtrak, the US Postal Service, Medicare and Social Security are all quagmires of debt. Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac are also financial shambles of shame.
Much of our educational system is an academic   embarrassment. Yet Washington continues to reward ,in many cases; incompetence, mismanagement and poor performance with excessive government grants,   all with reams of red tape and skeins of federal strings.
The 2010 elections will be the Waterloo for many of these unscrupulous politicians who have squandered the wealth of America and left the children a legacy of debt which exceeds all understanding.
