Stock Market on Steroids
I’m very interested in those people who tell me that the stock market is proof that the economy is improving. I think there will be an adjustment and that’s why I’m so happy I’ve taken most of whatever money I have out of the market. USA Today had a great article entitled, “Dow Jones High on Fed Steroids,” where they talk about this week’s record high Dow Jones return. Like a baseball player, the economy is simply cheating itself into the record books. They call it “quantitative easing” where the Fed buys trillions of dollars in mortgages to inflate the economy but what will happen when the interest rates go up and inflation begins to kick in. There is a point of no return and now the solution to the temporary problem has made things worse! This is a lot like Japan’s “Lost Decade” and we need to be extraordinarily careful. The news today is not so great; it’s simply a temporary solution. If you’d like to pop the champagne, you’re welcome to, but I’d rather not celebrate these inflated numbers.

Obama's Goal: 2014

It seems as though Barack Obama's political agenda has been exposed. The Washington Post reported, "The goal is to flip the Republican-held House back to Democratic control, allowing Obama to push forward with a progressive agenda on gun control, immigration, climate change and the economy during his final two years in office, according to congressional Democrats, strategists and others familiar with Obama's thinking.” Obama's own press secretary is already pushing back on this report, saying that it isn't Obama's focus, but why wouldn't it be? The only thing standing in the way of Obama's fundamental transformation of America and implementing his progressive agenda is a Republican-led House of Representatives. Think about where America would be had the Tea Party not generated voter enthusiasm in 2010 and the House has remained under the control of the Democrats. For more on this, visit Hannity.com.
Outrageous Statement of the Day
Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich has joined the ranks of liberals intent on demonizing the Tea Party. Apparently calling Tea Partiers racist is no longer good enough. In a recent blog post, Reich took his rhetoric to an all-time low. He writes the following:

Imagine a plot to undermine the government of the United States, to destroy much of its capacity to do the public’s business, and to sow distrust among the population. Imagine further that the plotters infiltrate Congress and state governments, reshape their districts to give them disproportionate influence in Washington, and use the media to spread big lies about the government. Finally, imagine they not only paralyze the government but are on the verge of dismantling pieces of it. Far-fetched? Perhaps. But take a look at what’s been happening in Washington and many state capitals since Tea Party fanatics gained effective control of the Republican Party, and you’d be forgiven if you see parallels.

A plot to undermine the government? Dismantling pieces of the government? Spreading lies about the government? As a conservative, I am not sure where Reich is getting his information about the goals of the Tea Party. It sounds like nothing but more fear-mongering and scare-tactics that we have come to know so well from the Left. For more on Reich's comments, click here.

Baseball Bats and Knives - Posted by RyanC
I get that the FAA needs to listen to President Obama and I'm sure they've been instructed to make the sequestration as painful as possible but couldn't we just got a government entitlement program by one half of one percent as opposed to allowing knives and baseball bats on planes?  Seems to me the news today that the FAA will allow both on planes is just crazy.  Then again, Washington is crazy.
