Operation Sell ObamaCare
This summer, I assume that the Obama administration planned to spend an extraordinary amount of time on anything other than a monsoon of scandals. While it's clear that Obama wants us to be focusing on immigration right now, it's also clear that he and his disciples are gearing up to give the ultimate sales pitch to the American people on ObamaCare. For as apathetic and tuned out as many Americans may be, it seems as though even Obama's expert team of propagandists will have a tough time with this one. The non-official organizing branch of the Obama administration - Organizing for Action - has launched "Team ObamaCare" to help with the sales pitch. While Team Obamacare is actively pushing to sell this terrible law to Americans, the rest of Washington may not be quite as enthusiastic...( more)

Saving Sarah
I am happy to report that 10 year old Sarah Murnaghan successfully underwent a double-lung transplant yesterday. It warms my heart to be able to tell you that. I couldn't be happier. Her family says the doctors are pleased with her progress and her prognosis for recovery. She's expected to remain in the hospital for about two week and I know that many of us around the country are praying for her safe and speedy recovery. Sarah's parents posted on Facebook that they were "elated this day has come," and went on to say, "We also know our good news is another family's tragedy. That family made the decision to give Sarah the gift of life -- and they are the true heroes today." ( more)
Distrust In Government Grows
In light of all the recent scandals involving this administration, Fox News has released a poll highlighting how people feel about these scandals and our government in general. The number of Americans who believe the federal government is too big is growing: 64% feel the government is too big, which is up from 56% in 2009. That's also more than double the number who feel government is the right size (just 29%). When it comes to trusting our government, only 5% of Americans have a great deal of trust and 32% have a fair amount of trust. Meanwhile 63% of Americans say they do not have much confidence, or no confidence at all in our federal government. When it comes to our government spying on us, 62% of Americans feel that secretly collecting the phone records of millions of Americans is an "unacceptable and alarming invasion of privacy rights." In comparison, just 32% of Americans believe secretly collecting pho ne records is an "acceptable government action to help prevent terrorism."
