A&E Caves
Thanks in part to an enormous reaction by fans across the country, A&E caved and announced Phil Robertson would not be put on hiatus
after all. The network and the Robertson family announced Friday that Phil will still be part of the series -- and since he didn't miss any
filming, his temporary suspension will have no effect on the upcoming fifth season.
In a statement released late Friday afternoon, A&E said, "While
Phil's comments made in the (GQ) interview reflect his personal views
based on
his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have
publicly stated they regret the 'coarse language' he used and the
misinterpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also
made it clear he would 'never incite or encourage hate.'"
The statement then offered some leeway: "But Duck Dynasty is not a show
about one man's views. It resonates with a large audience because it
is a show about family... a family that America has come to love. As you
might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and
pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness," the statement said. "After
discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with
numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck
Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family."
An already completed 10-episode season will begin airing Jan. 15, with all of the Robertsons featured. The new episodes, scheduled to be shot
this spring, will air later next year. |

Disinformation
David Kupelian and Ronald Rychlak, authors of the book, "Disinformation"
joined guest host Bob Just in
the show's final hour. Both men, with the help of Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai
Pacepa, the highest-ranking Soviet bloc intelligence official ever to
defect to the West, expose some of the most consequential yet largely
unknown disinformation campaigns of our lifetime.
In "Disinformation,"
Pacepa and Rychlak reveal that the Soviet Union's immense intelligence
apparatus,
unlike other nations' spy establishments, was not primarily focused on
spying and gathering intel on other nations. Instead, reveal the
authors, the communist bloc intelligence services, including the Russian
KGB and the Romanian DIE headed by Pacepa, were much more preoccupied
with rewriting history, with manufacturing lies, deception and false
documents, with turning one religion against another, with defaming the
noblest people and glorifying the worst, and - perhaps most importantly -
with planting an endless barrage of false, perverse, anti-American
disinformation into the liberal Western news media.
A riveting read, "Disinformation" will change the way you look at
intelligence, foreign affairs and the press. For more on

Today's "Hot Topic" On The Hannity Forums:
An interesting twist on the ObamaCare argument
- Unaffiliated
Hypothetical:
If all the roles were reversed in Washington and Republicans had finally
gotten a long awaited chance to pass a signature piece of legislation
or reform but knew Democrats, given some time, would try to strip it
away clause by clause or kill it outright. Wouldn't Republicans defend
their signature big thing by rushing implementation knowing undoing a
big government solution once in place is very difficult and they would
just have to take their lumps while they fixed and tweaked it on the
fly. Damaged maybe but in place after a decades long fight to get it.
