Conservative Solutions 2014: Term Limits
It is
an undeniable truth that Government today is dysfunctional, bloated, and
bureaucratic. Government itself IS THE PROBLEM! When we take a look at
the plethora of issues facing the nation today, we have to ask ourselves what
is happening in Congress and the Senate? How is it that I have all these
elected officials that campaigned on A,B, and C issues, but now that they are
in office they are more focused on X, Y, and Z. These people are the picture of
everything that is wrong with America, and they need to be reminded that their
constituents matter. The solution? Term
Limits! 6 years in The House and 12 years in the Senate, each with one term in
leadership. I believe this would give our elected officials
the right amount of time to make their mark, push for real answers to real
problems, and leave before they make legislation decisions based on nepotism.
We want to elect good people with a fire in their belly for freedom and
progress. The only way to sustain that is to give new people a chance. Term Limts are the solution to fixing Congress!
Scandal
Update
You can't make stuff like
this up! The latest news related to the IRS targeting of tea party
conservatives will have you shaking your head.
It's true that the Obama administration launched an “investigation” into
the scandal. There's only one problem …
the person appointed to lead that investigation is an Obama donor! The person leading the investigation has been
revealed to be trial attorney Barbara Kay Bosserman. She's given more than $6,000 to Obama's
campaigns. So the person appointed to
lead Obama's probe into Obama's IRS targeting of Obama's political opponents is
an Obama supporter. Are you seeing the
issue here? Rep. Darrell Issa says that
as a result, the investigation has been “compromised.” Sadly, I've come to expect nothing more from
this administration. Transparency and
honesty are not words I would use to describe Obama or his administration.

Christie's "Bridgegate"
Scandal
Chris Christie has dominated the headlines for the last day or
so. He and his administration have been
ensnared in a scandal dubbed "bridgegate," and the media is having a field
day. Anything to distract from
ObamaCare and make Republicans look bad.The scandal boils down to this: In the
last election in November, Christie was trying to gain endorsements from mayors
throughout New Jersey, including Democrats across the aisle. The story goes that the Mayor Mark Sokolich
of Fort Lee, a Democrat, refused to endorse Christie's re-election. As a result, Christie's deputy chief of staff,
Bridget Anne Kelly, contacted Port Authority official David Wildstein (who went
to high school with Christie) to close down traffic lanes in Fort Lee in order
to tie up traffic in the mayor's town. This morning Chris Christie held a press
conference addressing the issue where he apologized to the people of New
Jersey, of Fort Lee and the state legislature and thusly fired his aide,
Bridget Anne Kelly, because she lied to Christie. You can rest-assured that if
Christie does go on to run for president, this issue will be mentioned by the
liberal media in virtually every conversation or analysis. If Hillary Clinton runs for president, will
Benghazi or the host of other scandals similarly coincide with their
analysis? Highly doubtful. I'm not saying that the actions of Christie's
staff were in the right, but I am pointing to how the media will treat this
differently than it would if it were a liberal.
Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: What Is Christie Doing? - Posted by Ryooper2
I'm not really clear what Governor Christie is doing? As a
supporter of his, it still seems he's firing his staff as a cover to
what is likely something he was involved in. Was it an abuse of power?
Sure it was! Was it worse than the Benghazi scandal or the IRS
scandal? Not even close. Apologize, suspend employees but ultimately
take responsibility and move on. He'll get through this but there's
more pain to come for him.
