Mistreating our Veterans
There are few things more morally repugnant that mistreating those who
risk their lives to serve our country. Yet that is sadly the case for
many veterans around the country.
In the veterans healthcare system in Phoenix, Arizona, 40 of Americans
veterans died while waiting for care. Adding to the outrage, management
officials have been accused of keeping a secret list which made it look
like veterans were receiving adequate, timely care when in fact they
were left waiting for appointments. In at least 40 cases in this
facility alone, 40 veterans died as a result.
This is absolutely unacceptable and should never be tolerated. How we
treat those who serve our country says a lot about who we are as a
nation, and veterans deserve our utmost respect rather than this
sickening treatment. |

Feds Save Oregon
We've all come to know how much a disaster the federal ObamaCare
exchange website turned out to be. We spent over $600 million on a
website
that completely failed to do what it was supposed to do, leaving the
administration in a PR tailspin and many Americans frustrated.
So you know things have to be really bad in Oregon if the same federal
government in charge of Healthcare.gov has to save your state health
exchange. Here's how bad it is: the state spent about $300 million on
its state exchange website and not a single person has been able to sign up
online. It will cost another $4-6 million for the federal government to take over the Oregon exchange.
You may recall that Cover Oregon, the state's insurance marketplace, spent $3.2 million to create ObamaCare
ads featuring a folk singer and rainbows. Why bother wasting more
taxpayer money if people can't even sign up for the very coverage they
are promoting? Oregon isn't alone. The state ObamaCare exchanges in
Massachusetts and Maryland are also failing. How is it possible that
these
government bureaucrats could fail so miserably?
