Big Day For Supreme Court
It was a big day for the Supreme Court today and a good day for
freedom-loving Americans in the face of growing government tyranny.
The big decision was that of Hobby Lobby challenging the ObamaCare contraception mandate. In a 5-4 decision,
the court ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby, stating that closely held
corporations cannot be required to provide contraception coverage.
What exactly does that mean? The scope of the decision is specific to a "closely held corporation" like Hobby Lobby, which is defined by the IRS
as: Having more than 50% of the value of its outstanding stock owned
(directly or indirectly) by 5 or fewer individuals at any time during
the last half of the tax year; and Is not a personal service
corporation.
The Green family, which owns Hobby Lobby, asserted that the
contraception mandate ran counter to their religious beliefs and that
they should not be compelled by the government to provide coverage for
certain types of birth control.
Now, thanks to the Supreme Court, companies similar to Hobby Lobby have a

USIS Establishes an Islamic State
The radical Islamic rebels in Iraq and Syria - ISIS - have declared that
they have won by establishing a caliphate in the region, changing their
name and naming a leader.
According to CNS News,
"ISIS declared it was establishing a khalifah (caliphate, or Islamic
state), changing its name from ISIS to 'the Islamic State,' and
proclaimed its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as 'caliph' - the political
successor to Islam's 7th century founder, Mohammed." Their caliphate
stretches from Syria through Iraq.
The group also appears to have released a video, where they mock Obama by asking, "Obama, did you prepare enough diapers for your soldiers?"
How serious is this caliphate and how strong is ISIS? It's hard to say, but what we are seeing is various al Qaeda groups
pledging their support and aligning with ISIS. For example, the North
African al Qaeda affiliate has pledged its support along with al Qaeda
rebels battling the Assad regime in Syria.
Meanwhile, you should also note that the Iraqi government has just
purchased $500 million worth of warplanes from ... Russia! So we have
Iran and Russia in the mix as radical jihadists collude to create a
caliphate in the region. This is going well, isn't it? |
