Most
of the rest of the nation has never heard of Diane Douglas. But the
education establishment in D.C. and Common Core’s overlords — looking at
you, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Gates Foundation, Jeb Bush, etc. etc.
etc — will all know her name tomorrow morning. Grass-roots parents and
anti-Common Core activists in Arizona know and love her. So do readers
of this blog. In May, I endorsed Douglas’s upstart candidacy for state
superintendent in Arizona. She battled an entrenched GOP candidate, John
Huppenthal, who enjoyed all the perks and privileges of incumbency.
Huppenthal derided parents as “barbarians at the gate” and doubled down
on his support for Common Core. Flashback...
We
still don’t seem to have reached that “smidgen of corruption” threshold
where somebody — anybody — loses a job, a pension, or even a night’s
sleep over this “phony scandal” that continues to reek more every day...
This is a joke, right?
The
Democrats’ corporate hero, Warren Buffett, is playing a part in
American-based Burger King buying Canadian-based Tim Horton’s. Naturally
the Democrat supporter is going to heed President Obama’s call for
“economic patriotism” and move Tim Horton’s HQ to the U.S. so the
company can pay more taxes in the states, right? Actually, it’s going to
end up the other way around...
