Obama Addresses ISIS Threat
Barack Obama will give his speech tonight on how America plans to handle
ISIS. Meanwhile, the American people feel less safe than ever and
support military action against ISIS. A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll
shows that nearly half of our country (47%) believe America is less
safe than it was before 9/11. That's a startling statistic, and it is
more than double the amount (20%) of people who felt that way a year
after 9/11.
So what does this administration intend to do in order to reassure the
American people of our safety and address the threat of ISIS? That
remains unclear but we are told that this will include three parts:
Framing the threat, outlining his strategy and sharing new proposals on
how to defeat ISIS, which may include strikes in Syria.
But don't worry, you can get all the analysis you need of Obama's speech tonight by none other than ... Jay Carney!
The former White House Press Secretary has joined CNN and will cover
Obama's speech tonight. Will his job of putting a spin on things so as
to favor the president continue on CNN? |

The Future of America Is Scary
Our friends over at Young America's Foundation
(YAF) went to George Washington University in Washington D.C. last week
to ask students about current events; specifically about news relating
to ISIS and the anniversary of September 11th.
What they discovered was shocking.
Overall, 29 out of 30 students could name at least one celebrity
involved in the nude photo leak scandal, only six out of 30 could
identify the 9-11 anniversary, and only four out of 30 could name at
least one of the U.S. journalists beheaded by ISIS. You can read more at
Hannity.com.
