Can We Please Have Romney? New polling from IBD/TIPP
finds that 53% of Americans characterize Obama's presidency as a
failure. His Presidential Leadership Index is currently at 41, which is
lower than George W. Bush's at this same time during his second term.
And if voters could vote again today, Mitt Romney would beat out Barack
Obama by 6%.
More polling from CBS News
shows that the economy is still a top issue for Americans as we head
into the midterm election. Yet I've also outlined recently how Barack
Obama's recovery has been less than stellar for most Americans.
The Washington Examiner
points out today how the president's grand pitch for our economy is
that we are doing better compared to Europe and Japan (which isn't
actually saying a lot!). A new CNBC
poll finds that Americans aren't buying it: "Just 24 percent of
Americans say they are extremely or quite confident in Obama's economic
policies and goal ... And 44 percent of the public say they have no
confidence at all in the president on the economy." The headlines are
overwhelming and the reason is because Obama hasn't managed to
anticipate crises and has been forced to bounce from one fire to the
next. That's not being in control, or on offense, that's playing
defense and that's not a strong position for America.

Who Is Alton Nolan?
"Work place violence" has become a placeholder for an administration
that is afraid to call out radical Islamic terrorism. Such was the case
of the Fort Hood shooting, and it seems to be the case in Oklahoma as
well. We've had reports of the beheader Alton Nolan trying to convert
coworkers to Islam and posting radial Islamic and ISIS content on social
media.
We've also learned more about Nolan's mosque he attended in Oklahoma. According to Breitbart,
"The beheader's mosque, the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City,
was founded by a sibling of a U.S.-designated Hamas terrorist, and in
the past has welcomed an Imam who was a close confidant to al-Qaeda
mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki." A convicted terrorist also attended the
mosque and sermons, that have since been removed from the mosque's
website, show its connection to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Considering all of this, has there been an investigation into the
mosque? Quite the opposite. If you can believe it, the White House
recently sent a top Homeland Security official to the mosque to present
it with an official thank you note from President Barack Obama: "Your
service is a powerful example of the powerful roots of the Abrahamic
faiths and how our communities can come together with shared peace with
dignity and a sense of justice."
It's so outrageous that it's almost inconceivable. Yet I wouldn't put anything past this administration anymore. |
