ISIS Hostage Dead We learned the sad news today that American hostage Kayla Mueller, held by ISIS after being captured in Syria, has been killed. What is it going to take for this administration to follow through on its promise to "defeat" and "destroy" ISIS? Kayla Mueller was only 26 years old. She was an aid worker in Syria, captured in 2013 by ISIS. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her parents Carl and Marsha Mueller. The nature of her death remains unclear, though officials can confirm that she has died while being held hostage by ISIS. The group is claiming that it was coalition airstrikes by Jordan which accounted for Kayla's death. This remains unconfirmed, but intelligence officials have confirmed her death after ISIS sent the family a private message over the weekend. In a statement released by the White House, Obama says, "No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla's captivity and death." Unfortunately, Obama's words on these matters have become empty. For example, here's what he said the morning after the terrorist attack in Benghazi: "And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people." Years later, we know how that promise has played out. When Will This Stop? How many more Americans have to be killed in the name of radical Islamic terror before this administration takes it seriously enough to come up with a winning strategy to defeat it? It remains almost unfathomable that a year ago Obama was referring to this very same group as the JV team. Now they've killed multiple American and coalition hostages in the most brutal ways imaginable. They've conquered territory our brave soldiers fought, bled and died for in Iraq. They've embarrassed us by hacking into military social media accounts and harnessed the power of social media to recruit sympathizers around the world. How is it possible that the most powerful nation on earth, with all our resources, is being outsmarted and outdone by a "JV" group of terrorists? It's stunning and innocent people are losing their lives because of it.
