ISIS in America?
There was a shooting in Garland, TX over the weekend outside an event featuring the prophet Muhammad.
A "draw Muhammad" art contest ended in horror as two gunmen opened fire
on a security guard at the Curtis Culwell Center. The security guard
has since been released from the hospital. Both gunmen are dead, shot
by police.
One of the suspects has been identified as Elton Simpson. According to
the UK Daily Mail, Simpson was identified in court papers as an American
Muslim and was the previous suspect of an FBI terrorism investigation.
He had told an FBI informant that democracy was threatening the Muslim
way of life and "We going to fight you to the death." FBI agents and
the bomb squad are searching Simpson's apartment in Arizona, including
computer records.
A half hour before the terrorist attack, Simpson tweeted his pledge of
loyalty to the head of ISIS. It read: "The bro with me and myself have
given bay'ah to Amirul Mu'mineen. May Allah accept us as mujahideen.
Make dua #texasattack."
Those pledging allegiance to ISIS have officially managed to pull off an
attack in the United States. What will our president do, now that ISIS
has reached our soil?

GOP Field Widens
The field Republican candidates seeking the GOP nomination for president
continues to grow. Here's the latest on who has jumped into the race.
Dr. Ben Carson told a local TV station over the weekend that he is
running for president, with a formal announcement today in Detroit.
Carson pointed out that he's not sure "politics as usual is going to
save us." If you will recall, Carson is a world-renown neurosurgeon who
recently retired from his position as the director of pediatric
neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 2013, Carson delivered a
speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, which included President Obama,
in which he did not hold back about political correctness and the
pitfalls of ObamaCare.
Carly Fiorina announced this morning that she is running for president.
She told ABC's Good Morning America, "I think I'm the best person for
the job because I understand how the economy actually works. I
understand the world, who's in it, how the world works. I understand
bureaucracies, and that's what our federal government has become, a
giant bloated unaccountable corrupt bureaucracy." Fiorina was the CEO
of technology giant Hewlett-Packard from 1999 to 2005. She has been
vocal about Hillary Clinton, and today's announcement was no exception.
Fiorina told GMA that Hillary is clearly not trustworthy. A video
posted on her campaign website features Hillary's announcement video
before
Fiorina turns it off and says that "America's founders never intended
for us to have a professional political class."
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is also running for president; he
is expected to announce tomorrow. Huckabee was Arkansas' governor from
1996 to 2007 until running for president in 2008. Because of his time
as governor in Arkansas, perhaps more so than most, Huckabee understands
how to battle against the Clinton machine. Having also sought the
nomination once before, and done quite well, Huckabee is familiar with
what it takes to run for the office.
Carson, Fiorina and Huckabee join Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio,
who have already declared their candidacies. Amazingly, the GOP field
still has even more viable candidates who have yet to announcement.
The depth of the GOP bench is inspiring. Let's hope that they bring
energy and new ideas to the American people in an inspired way that
gives people a reason to show up to the polls in November 2016.
I will continue to provide all of the candidates the chance to speak
directly to my radio and TV audience. This will hopefully help you to
make an informed decision as to who you feel would make the best
candidate in this crucial election.
