Cops stunned an autistic, near-mute Bronx man with a Taser after mistaking him for an uncooperative criminal, a new lawsuit alleges. Miguel Torruella (pictured), 24, was left physically and emotionally scarred after officers zapped him with a stun gun and took him to Lincoln Hospital after finding him wandering the streets near his Melrose home, a suit filed Wednesday in Bronx Supreme Court reads. Torruella now shakes at the sight at police officers and won’t sleep in his own bed as a result of the July 2014 confrontation, according to court papers. “Taking an autistic person and Tasering him when he’s basically just lost is not reasonable,” said the family’s attorney. Miguel Torruella, 24, was left physically and emotionally scarred from the encounter with cops who found him wandering the streets near his Melrose home, according to the suit filed Wednesday.
