Leftists Outraged GOP Canceled NBC Debate The RNC announced that they would be "suspending" their debate partnership with NBC after Wednesday night's CNBC was roundly criticized. In a letter to NBC Chairman Andrew Lack, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus writes: I write to inform you that pending further discussion between the Republican National Committee (RNC) and our presidential campaigns, we are suspending the partnership with NBC News for the Republican primary debate at the University of Houston on February 26, 2016. The RNC's sole role in the primary debate process is to ensure that our candidates are given a full and fair opportunity to lay out their vision for America's future. We simply cannot continue with NBC without full consultation with our campaigns. Liberals are outraged. Sam Stein over at the Huffington Post thinks media outlets need to "band together" against the GOP for the move. Stein tweets: And for the love of god, would be nice to see media outlets band together on this and call BS. Not holding out hope. - Sam Stein (@samsteinhp) October 30, 2015 A number of left wing outlets are also critical of the RNC's decision. But the bluster is pure hypocrisy. It wasn't long ago that leftists were cheering this kind of behavior when it came from Democrats. Back in March of 2007, Democrats canceled a scheduled Fox News debate because of a joke Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes made about Barack Obama. That's right...a joke. The effort to have the 2007 Fox News Debate cancelled were spearheaded by the liberal advocacy group Moveon.org. What a difference a few years make. Or, as in the case of Democrats, you get the Black Lives Matter movement crashing your events whether you grovel at their feet or not. "Yes they do. And I'm going to talk a lot about that in a minute." Remember, these are the same folks who were chanting about cops, "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon" and liberals still won't stand up to them. Well, this is how they are repaid for their weakness.
