Jeb Explains Why He Doesn't Use The Name 'Bush' As the 2016 presidential campaign rolls along, one source of criticism for the Jeb Bush campaign since its very inception has been his failure to use the name "Bush" in campaign literature. From lawn signs, to his campaign logo, Jeb seems hesitant to deploy his very recognizable last name. The omission has led frontrunner Donald Trump to accuse Jeb of being "ashamed of his last name."

But that isn't the real reason for Jeb's decision, according to the former Florida governor.

"'Jeb' has been the slogan since 1994," Jeb said on Hannity, referring to his first bid for the Florida governorship. "I had three races for governor in the largest swing-state in the country and it's part of my brand. It's not that I'm disowning my family."

Jeb isn't the first member of the Bush family to deemphasize his list name. Former President George W. Bush noted, he used the name "W" during much of his campaign for president...continue reading
