Another Former Competitor Endorses Trump
Former
Texas Governor Rick Perry is the latest of Donald Trump's vanquished
competitors to come out in support of the billionaire. Perry, who had
once thrown his support behind Texas Senator Ted Cruz, gave his
endorsement on Thursday.
"He is not a perfect man. But what I do believe is that he loves this
country and he will surround himself with capable, experienced people
and he will listen to them," Perry said on CNN. "He wasn't my first
choice, wasn't my second choice, but he is the people's choice."
Despite Trump's imperfections, Perry went on to heap praise on the real estate mogul.
"He is one of the most talented people who has ever run for the president I have ever seen," he added.

Gingrich Slam "Pseudo-Intellectual Right-Wingers" For Not Supporting The Nominee
Although
many Republicans, including former Governors Mike Huckabee and Rick
Perry, have came around to supporting Donald Trump, many continue to

support.
"I'm just not ready to do that at this point," the Speaker said to CNN about endorsing Trump. "I'm not there right now."

"I'm not ready to support Speaker Ryan anymore," Sean said of the Ryan's
comments on Thursday's Hannity. "I'm thinking maybe we need a new
speaker."
Speaker Ryan isn't alone. Over at The National Review, David French has
declared that the Republican party is in ruins. French writes:
A minority of its primary voters have torched its founders' legacy by
voting for a man who combines old-school Democratic ideology, a bizarre
form of hyper-violent isolationism, fringe conspiracy theories, and
serial lies with an enthusiastic flock of online racists to create
perhaps the most toxic electoral coalition since George Wallace. Then -
to add insult to injury - multiple GOP leaders bulldozed the ashes by
issuing nauseating calls for unity, foremost among them Reince
Priebus...Reince, you should resign rather than spending one more ounce
of personal energy supporting a reprehensible man.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich joined Thursday's Hannity to
discuss the hesitancy of some Republicans to throw their lot in with the
real estate mogul...(continue reading) |
