Good News For Trump After Major Convention Bounce
Despite
the prevalent media narrative that the Republican National Convention
was a disaster, a string of new poll show that a post-convention bounce
has catapulted GOP Presidential Nominee Donald Trump into the lead over
presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
According to the new CNN/ORC poll,
Trump now has a 5-point lead over Clinton, leading the former Secretary
of State 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup that includes Libertarian
candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. When put in
a head-to-head matchup, Trump still leads Clinton by 3-points, 48%-45%.
New polls also show that since the convention, Trump has gained ground
in several important swing states. In the important state of Ohio, Trump
has pulled into a dead heat with Clinton. Both supported by 45% of Ohio
voters according to Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling.
In the state of Nevada, Trump now has a 5-point advantage against Clinton according to Rasmussen Reports. Trump leads Clinton 43% to 38% in the Silver State. |
