WATCH: Sean's comments on Trump's SCOTUS Pick Judge Gorsuch is only 49 years old. He clerked for several prominent judges, including Supreme Court Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy. In 2006, he was nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, where he currently serves, and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in a unanimous voice vote. Judge Gorsuch is also known for being a strong defender of religious liberty. When Gorsuch was nominated to the Circuit Court in 2006 by President George W. Bush, the judge was unanimously confirmed by the Senate with a voice-vote. Included amongst his supporters were then-Senators Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and, ironically, current Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Make no mistake about it: Gorsuch is supremely qualified for the position. Any noise you hear about his being a "radical" or "out of the mainstream" is after-the-fact justification for Democrats promise to block whomever Trump chose.
