2 men confess to murder of University of Illinois student, 20, in botched robbery: police

Vicente Mundo, a University of Illinois student, was murdered by an acquantaince during a botched robbery over a small amount of marijuana, police said. Vicente Mundo was shot once in the head on the University’s Champaign campus, cops said. Daniel Gonzalez and Reginald Scott, both 21, admitted to trying to rob Vicente Mundo of marijuana and cash, police said. The plan went awry when Mundo tried to escape.
