PHOTOS & BLOG: Amanda Knox Appeals Trial Enters Final Stretch

Knox was studying in Perugia, Italy in 2007 when her roommate, Meredith Kercher, was found brutally murdered in the house she, Knox and two other students shared. Knox, her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and Rudy Guede were all convicted of first degree murder in 2009, and Knox was sentenced to 26 years in prison. As she awaits the verdict of her appeal, which will be handed down in approximately one week, the prosecution has lobbied she receive a higher sentence: life in prison.
