Outrageous: Govenor Cuomo New York governor Andrew Cuomo went a radio show last week and proceeded to attack New Yorkers who are “extreme conservatives.”  Who qualifies as an “extreme conservative,” to governor Cuomo?  Take a look at Hannity.com to see what Cuomo said. As a conservative from New York, it was more than troubling to hear that my governor believes that there is no place for me, or other conservatives, in his state. The governor's office has since tried to backtrack on his statement, saying they were taken out of context and that “'it is fine' to be anti-gun control, and anti-choice' – as he respects both positions." It seems as though the Left's intolerance grows worse by the day, and I'm over it.  I honestly can't wait to get out of New York and with me goes my money.  Every penny.  There are plenty of other places where people can go, like Florida or Texas, where there are no income taxes.  I’m Outta Here! I'm not the only one, by the way, who is anxious to move from New York.  There's a reason why Florida is about to pass New York in terms of population.  A recent New York Post headline pointed out that the wealth redistribution plans of New York City's new mayor, Bill de Blasio, is a big boon for … Florida.  Why?  Because there comes a point where people earning good money will simply move to a place where they can keep more of it.  The Post points out, “According to IRS figures used by Travis Brown in 'How Money Walks,' from 1992 to 2010, Florida saw a net inflow of $95.6 billion in wealth (as measured by adjusted growth income). The largest chunk, $18.9 billion, came from . . . guess where? New York.” Why would anyone want to stay in a place where they are not welcome and you hand over 10 percent of your income to the state alone?  Liberal intolerance mixed with high taxes is not a recipe for economic prosperity. Obama's Fifth Year Barack Obama has officially been president for five years.  At this point, you would think he would "own" his presidency.  Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. The president has become infamous for his excuses - ATMs, George Bush - but recently he resurrected a familiar excuse: skin color.  He told the New Yorker Magazine, "There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black President.  Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I'm a black President."  According to Gallup, Obama's fifth year job approval rating averaged just 45.8%.  To put that into perspective: "Obama's fifth-year approval average is in the lower range. It is similar to George W. Bush's 45.7%, but lower than those for Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. Obama's fifth-year average exceeds Richard Nixon's 41.1% in the year ending Jan. 19, 1974."  I wonder if it has ever occurred to the President that there are many Americans who are not bothered in the least by skin color but see his policies and practices as destroying the very country they love so much?  Worried about the freedoms and opportunities that will be enjoyed by our grandchildren, many Americans fear that Obama's policies (not his skin color) represent a threat to our future.
