IRS Scandal Explodes
Not long ago, President Obama said that there was "not even a smidgen of
corruption" related to the IRS targeting of tea party conservatives.
But new evidence has come to light and he couldn't be more wrong. Here
are the latest updates on this scandal, which the Democrats would like
you to think is case-closed. Or in the words of ranking Ways and Means
Democrat Elijah Cummings, the "case is solved."
The House Ways and Means committee has voted to refer Lois Lerner to the
Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution. Remember that
Lois Lerner was the head of the office of Exempt Organizations for the
IRS during the height of the tea party targeting scandal. She has twice
plead the Fifth in Congressional hearings, though the first time it is
arguable that she waved her Fifth Amendment rights by making a
statement before invoking her rights.
It's possible that Lerner violated multiple federal statutes in her
office's efforts to target certain groups based on their political
beliefs. In addition to the partisan targeting, the Wall Street Journal
reports, "Investigators also charge that she misled investigators in
her original conversations with the Treasury Inspector General and
potentially disclosed confidential taxpayer information by using her
personal email address for IRS business." Among the most troubling

Holder Has Rare Moment of Honesty

For a moment there, Hell froze over.
Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder admitted that when Nidal Hasan
entered the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood on November
5, 2009 and shot over 40 people while screaming "Allah Akbar," the
incident could be "classified as a terrorist incident"...had it occurred
at the Department of Justice.
Specifically, Holder made these remarks after being questioned by Rep.
