Barry Mason died at age of 79 while serving a life sentence in the 2006 fatal shooting of Jamil Burton. Mason was being robbed by Burton at the time of the shooting. Barry Mason, 79, died of natural causes in State Correctional Institution–Laurel Highlands in Somerset March 30, but police did not announce his death until Monday.
