On Friday, May 8, 2015, at approximately 0915 hours, opposite of 296 Ellery Street, the below described subject approached a 65 year old female from behind and forcibly removed the victim's purse. The victim attempted to hold on to her purse but the male was able to wrestle it away from her. She attempted to chase the male but was unable to keep up with him. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Broadway toward Lewis Avenue. There were no reported injuries.
