THE SEAN HANNITY SHOW

Pope Francis Comments on Refugee Crisis
Pope Francis seemed to echo President Obama's administration today when he called on Congress to welcome the Syrian refugees into the country.

Unfortunately, he must not have heard the warnings from American intelligence officials claiming ISIS will try to exploit the refugee crisis to infiltrate our country.

He also must not have heard German officials say that at least 25 percent of the "refugees" flooding Germany are LYING about being from Syria.

In Hungary migrants were rioting, throwing rocks at police and shouting "Allahu Akbar!"

In Croatia, Muslim refugees have set up camp in a Christian cemetery and completely trashed the place.

If Pope Francis feels so strongly about the world's refugees, he should set an example and welcome them into Vatican City.

Battleground Syria
Reports of a Russian-led military buildup in Syria have been flooding in over the last few days. Tanks, fighter jets and transport cargo planes have been streaming into the war-torn country as Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged support to embattled Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad. It's not clear whether Russia is gearing up to fight rebels who are trying to overthrow Assad or whether they are there to protect Russian military bases in the area. Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters yesterday, "For the moment, it is the judgment of our military and most experts that the level and type represents basically force protection, a level of protection for their deployment to an airbase given the fact that it is in an area of conflict."
WATCH: Should Putin's movements in Syria alarm America?

There are several ways to evaluate this move. It is nice to see that someone other than the United States is attempting to pursue peace, but Russia's intentions are not crystal clear. As former General David Petraeus said when he testified to Congress recently, "Russia's recent military escalation in Syria is a further reminder that when the U.S. does not take the initiative, others will fill the vacuum - often in ways that are harmful to our interests." President Obama's weak response to the Syrian conflict has left many wondering if Syria will become the battleground of a much larger conflict.
