Ted Cruz' Hilarious Response to Trump Texas Senator Ted Cruz has been edging up in the polls and in doing so has drawn fire from GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. When asked about Cruz on Fox News Sunday, Trump called the Conservative stalwart, "a little bit of a maniac." "When you look at the way he's dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there, like a, you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac, you're never going to get things done that way," Cruz said. Cruz, who has been been hesitant to attack any of his primary opponents, is taking the barb in stride.
