25 protesters were arrested after barricading the west-bound lanes of the Bay Bridge on Monday. At one point the demonstrators shut down all five lanes heading west on the Bay Bridge by chaining their vehicles and themselves together behind a banner with the slogan Black Health Matters.

Thomas McAnulty, 73, a sculptor and art professor was killed on Thursday January 14, 2016 when he was hit by a motorcylist on West 96th Street in Manhattan. A Facebook group memorializing the life and work of Tom McAnulty had 259 members as of Monday and relatives of the man said they have received countless other condolences since the crash.
