Paul Ryan Makes A Major Announcement About His Political Future
Speaker
of the House Paul Ryan made a major announcement regarding his
political future at a press conference this afternoon. Ryan definitively
stated that he will not accept the GOP nomination for president should
there be a contested convention in July. Ryan's name had been floated as
a possible 'savior' candidate should the convention be unable to
nominate a candidate on the first ballot.

"I want to put this to rest once and for all," Ryan said to the press.
"Let me be clear, I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination of our
party. Ryan directly addressed the RNC delegates, saying "you should
only choose from the people who have participated in the primary so
count me out." He added that, "I should not be considered--period, end
of story." |

Hillary And Mayor Bill de Blasio Make A Racial Joke At Democratic Event
Presidential
hopeful Hillary Clinton and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio are
coming under fire for a joke the pair made at a recent Democratic event.
During the annual Inner Circle Dinner, the Democratic presidential
candidate Mayor Bill de Blasio made a joke referencing a racial
stereotype.
"I heard my name," Clinton said during a skit with de Blasio. "I just
have to say, thanks for the endorsement, Bill. It took you long enough."
"Sorry Hillary, I was running on CP time," de Blasio responded.
"Cautious politician time," Clinton said. "I've been there."
The term "CP time" more commonly refers to "colored people" time, a
racial stereotype. A spokesperson for the New York City mayor claims
that the Mayor meant no offense by the joke. |
