Trump Campaign Manager Speaks Out After Battery Charges Dropped
Florida prosecutors recently announced
that they will not pursue misdemeanor battery charges against Donald
Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for allegedly grabbing former
Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields' arm.
"Although there was probable cause to make an arrest [of Corey
Lewandowski]...The evidence cannot prove all legally required elements
of the crime alleged and is insufficient to support a criminal
prosecution," the Palm Beach County prosecutors office said in a legal
brief.
Lewandowski joined Thursday's Hannity to give his perspective on the issue.

"First let me say how thankful I am for Mr. Trump and his loyalty in
this very, very difficult time," Lewandowski told Sean. "This was a huge
distraction for the campaign that should never have been. If Michelle
Fields wanted to have a conversation we could have had a conversation
privately and not made this the story it is today and I'm sorry that
this has become the story that it is today."
Lewandowski added that he had a very different recollection of what happened that night than Michelle Fields.
"When I walked by Michelle Fields that night I said, 'Excuse me. Thank
you.' because I was trying to walk between her and Mr. Trump,"
Lewandowski recalled. "I didn't even know anything about the incident
until I looked at her Twitter feed hours later when I was being accused
of being a thug." |

Ted Cruz is saying he would be open to a ticket with Florida Senator
Marco Rubio.
"Look, anyone would naturally look at Marco as one of the people who
would be a terrific person to consider for VP. And we're in the process
now of considering a number of different options," Cruz said at a CNN
town hall on Wednesday.
"He would be someone that you would be a fool not to look at seriously.
He's very, very talented," the Texas Senator added. "And he ran a
campaign that inspired millions across this country. It inspired me"...(continue reading) |
