The Moment From Rudy's RNC Speech That Had The Audience On Their Feet
Former
New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is well known for giving rousing,
often-extemporaneous speeches. During his speech at the Republican
National Convention on Monday, Giuliani did not disappoint, his message
of support for members of the law enforcement community bringing
convention-goers to their feet.

"When they come to save your life, they don't ask if you are black or
white, they just come to save you!" Giuliani said over the applause.
"What happened to, 'there's no black America, there's no white America,

again. It's time to make America one again... I know we can change it,
because I did it by changing New York City from the crime capital of
America to the safest large city in the United States. What I did for
New York, Donald Trump will do for America!" |

of former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick on a number of
occasions.
WATCH: Just Words. Just not Obama's
"I am not asking anyone to take a chance on me, I'm asking you to take a
chance on your own aspirations," Patrick said in a speech delivered in
June of 2006. Obama repeated the line verbatim in a speech in South
Carolina in November of 2007. In addition, Obama's famous refrain of
"just words" in a 2008 speech was lifted directly from a speech Governor
Patrick delivered in October of 2006...(continue reading) |
