| China SHUTS DOWN All North Korean Businesses |
 The
Chinese government announced on Thursday that it will cooperate with
harsh US-led sanctions imposed by the United Nations last week, ordering
the closure of all North Korean-based businesses throughout China
within the next 120 days.
According to ABC News, the new policies from Beijing will effectively
suffocate the North Korean economy; severely limiting the hermit
kingdom's ability to import food, fuel, and other necessities. |

| Construction Officially Begins on Trump's Border Wall |
 The
Department of Homeland Security announced this week that the Trump
administration has begun construction of the border wall between the
southern United States and Mexico, breaking ground in San Diego on eight
different prototypes to be rolled out across the country.
The US Customs and Border Protection Agency introduced the new designs,
with four fences relying on concrete and four other prototypes featuring
alternative technology, including large transparent barriers. |

| Scalise Returns to Congress After Assassination Attempt |
House
Majority Whip Steve Scalise made a surprise visit to the United States
Capitol on Thursday; the first time the GOP lawmaker has returned to
Congress since being nearly assassinated at a Republican baseball game
last June.
The Republican legislator announced his arrival on social media, simply
writing "I'm back" while posing for a photograph. According to Fox News,
Scalise met with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and plans to address
fellow lawmakers from the House floor. |
