John Sarbanes (D-MD), the Gag Act would destroy political free speech and give leftist federal government officials massive new control over our elections. My name is Adam Brandon, and I’m the president of FreedomWorks. You’ve likely seen many viral videos pop up in recent months of Trump supporters and conservatives being brutally attacked for simply expressing their opinions. It doesn’t take rocket scientist to realize the chilling effect this new “donor doxing” scheme would have on free speech. But that’s not all. The Gag Act also changes the definition of a “lobbyist” to include virtually anyone, including YOU, who publicly speaks out against a politician around election time – meaning YOU could face legal action for simply expressing your First Amendment freedoms!
