YOUR RIGHTS DRIFTING AWAY

Grassroots to Congress: Stop the EPA Power Grab

This past week the EPA held a series of regional hearings throughout the country—in Denver, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and Washington. EPA representatives heard from the public about the job-killing rules on power plants it proposed in June, which would force states to impose draconian restrictions on carbon emissions by 2030.

What impact on the environment will the EPA regulations have?

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was created in 1970 for the purpose of considering ways in which the US could preserve the environment. However, after recently imposing a series of harsh new restrictions on the energy industry, it seems the EPA has drastically overstepped its boundaries.

Australia Shows Climate Taxation Doesn’t Work

Australia’s recent carbon tax experiment has laid bare for the world to see the dirty truth behind climate taxation: it hurts individuals and families across the board, causing the economy to suffer without having any significant impact on the climate.

Why are the EPA regulations a bad idea?

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) touted good intentions when they unveiled 645 pages of energy restrictions under the banner of helping the environment. They can’t hide behind good intentions though when their copious regulations damage the job market and increase energy costs. The EPA’s requirements will not only hurt energy workers but will also affect every American.

How will the EPA regulations affect me?

On June 2nd, the Obama administration through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced 645-pages of new regulations. These restrictions will irrevocably alter America’s energy framework through top-down regulation discouraging coal production in the name of helping the environment.

New Obama EPA Water Rules Set to Drown Property Rights, Economic Growth

It’s clear based on the bipartisan flogging the proposal was met with on Capitol Hill that the EPA’s sales job isn’t fooling anyone. Instead, critics on both sides of the ideological divide have slammed the new rules as another characteristic power grab by the agency, one that will infringe individual’s land rights and have profoundly detrimental effects on small businesses.
